Why Am I Procrastinating?

So, this morning in my prayer time the Lord revealed why I have been struggling. I have just not felt like doing the things I need to do, and I needed answers. I read an article by Kevin Ewing called, "Spiritual Warfare against the Spirit of Procrastination". One thing that stuck out to me that was so simple but profound was the reminder of the scripture, "Submit to God, resist the devil, and he will flee" James 4:7.

Sometimes we open the door for passivity and procrastination because we don't submit to God our mind, will, and emotions. Even our day. He knows what we are sensitive to that will cause us to fall. The schemes of the enemy through procrastination will cause you to regress in your business, goals, and ultimately your destiny.

If we stay submitted to the Holy Spirit throughout the day, we can combat procrastination. But if you don't admit you have a problem, well then you are on your own.

So I want to encourage you to submit your mind will and emotions to God starting today. Ask him to reveal any area you have given territory to procrastination so you can gain it back. When he tells you to do something that seems minor like brush your teeth now instead of later DO IT. God reminded me he often uses the little things to help us, and we often miss it.
